Apply a Co-Pay or Pre-Pay to Visit

Q: How do I apply a co-pay or pre-payment to a visit?

1. Open the Patient's Account

Click on the Billing menu, then select Patient Account.  Search for the account using the patient's last name, then click Select to open the account.

2. Open the New Charges Tab

Click on the New Charges tab.

3. Apply Co-Pay or Pre-Pay

  1. Click the Apply Co-Pay button (or the Apply Pre-Pay button).
  2. Select the correct Co-Pay/Pre-Pay.
  3. Click OK.

4. Disburse the Co-Pay or Pre-Pay

  1. Click the Disburse button to apply the payment to a visit.  To apply the payment to a specific visit, type the amount in the "Applied" column for the visit line item.
  2. When the Co-Pay amount is applied to the selected visit, click the Save button.

Co-Pay/Pre-Pay Applied

The payment has not been applied and is listed in the New Charges tab.
