Q: How do I take a co-pay?

1. Locate the Patient Appointment

Locate the patient appointment on the schedule.

2. Open the Patient Account

Double-click on the patient appointment to open the patient's account.

3. Take Co-Pay

3. Take Co-Pay

Click the Take Co-Pay button.

4. Complete Payment Information

  1. Verify the Payer Details
  2. Enter the Payment Details, including the Payment Date, Methods and Amount.
  3. Enter any Comments
  4. Click Disburse to apply the co-pay to the appropriate patient(s)
  5. Check to Print (or uncheck to not print) a receipt
  6. Click Save

The payment has now been saved as an Unapplied Co-Pay.  This co-pay can then be applied to a charge when needed.

6. Close the Patient Account Window

Close the Patient Account by clicking the X in the top right corner of the window, or press the Esc key on the keyboard.
