Setup Adjustment Maintenance
Q: How do I setup Adjustment maintenance?

The Practice Management setup process must be completed in a specific order. Please follow the setup lessons for step-by-step instructions.
1. Open Adjustment Maintenance

If you wish to add, edit or inactivate an Adjustment code within the Practice Management system, follow the steps below:
Click the Tools menu, then select Billing Maintenance > Adjustment Maintenance.
2. Add a New Adjustment Code

In the Custom Codes section, click the Green + button to create a new adjustment code.
3. Enter New Code & Description

After clicking the Green + button, SOAPware will allow you to create the adjustment code:
- New Code: enter the new adjustment code
- New Description: create a description for the new adjustment code
- Note: enter notes as desired
- Add: click Add to save
4. Code List

The Code List will display the clinic's current list of adjustment codes.
- To inactivate a code, highlight the code then check the "Inactive" box.
- To hide inactive adjustment codes, click the "Hide Inactive Codes" box.
- Click Close to close the Adjustment Code Maintenance window.
