Discontinue a Medication
Q: How do I discontinue a medication?
1. Open the Patient Chart
Open the patient's chart using the Chart Rack.
2. Open the Summary
Click the Summary tab to view the patient's Summary.
*Note: If the Summary tab is not visible in the chart, open it using the Chart Navigator.
3. Discontinue the Medication
- Locate the medication to be discontinued.
- Right-click on the medication.
- Select Discontinue Rx.
Enter the date the medication was discontinued and any notes/comments. Click Discontinue to save.
4. History
The medication has been discontinued and removed from the Summary. It will be stored in the Rx Manager History.
