Q: How do I check the patient in?

1. Locate the Appointment

In the Scheduler, locate the appointment using the calendar.

2. Open the Appointment

Double-click on the appointment to open it.

3. Enter/Verify Patient Demographics

  1. Select the Demographics tab
  2. Enter/update the Patient Information
  3. Enter/update the Address
  4. Enter/update the Contact Information
  5. Enter/update the Patient Picture
  6. Enter/update the Provider Information
  7. Enter/udpdate the Billing Information

  1. Select the Insurance tab
  2. Verify insurance policy
  3. Or enter a new insurance policy by clicking the New Insurance button (Green +)
  4. Scan the Insurance Card by clicking the Add Scan button

To verify the patients insurance coverage, if you are a SOAPware Practice Management user with Gateway EDI:

  1. Click the Check Eligibility button.

This will insert a new tab to display the patients insurance coverage information.

If you are not a SOAPware Practice Management user, you can manually verify the patients insurance coverage then follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Schedule tab
  2. Check the box to indicate Insurance Verified

Click the Check In button to change the appointment status to "Arrived".
