IF WE ARE USING HOSTING SERVICE ,DO WE STILL NEED A SERVER
I currently have soapware version 4.94.1 on a windows xp server. I wanted to upgrade my server which will now run windows 7. the client computers will still run windows xp.
1. is version 4.94.1 compatible with windows 7?
2. can this change to the windows 7 server be made even if the client computers are running windows xp?
You do not need a server if you are using the Hosting Service.
Although SOAPware V4 is not officially supported on Windows 7, often SOAPware's Support Technicians are able to get it working. To schedule a time to have them set this up for you, fill out a ticket at this webpage: soapware.com/ticket
I have soapware 4.94 on windowsXP.
(1) If upgrade to Soapware 2010 will it run on Windows7.
(2) If I decide to upgrade but do not want the support after one year, will I still be able to use Soapware or will it shut down after the support expires
Dr. Reid -
(1) SOAPware 2010 does work on Windows 7.
(2) If you decide not to renew your support contract, SOAPware will still function. However, you will not have phone or streaming support with the technical support dept, you will not be able to e-Prescribe or receive refills electronically, and Security will be disabled, which makes you non-compliant in the eyes of HIPAA.
