SOAPwareXchange Scan Interval and Error Handling

SOAPwareXchange Scan Interval and Error Handling
  1. Scan Interval: SOAPware has added a feature that will allow the user to adjust the scan interval of SOAPwareXchange.  By default, the scan interval will be set to 10 seconds, but can be modified to select a minimum of 5 seconds and a maximum of 30 seconds.
  2. Errors in Messages: In addition, SOAPware has added a feature that will improve error handling in SOAPwareXchange.  In previous versions, when SOAPwareXchange encountered an error, Xchange would not process any other messages/files until the error box was closed.  In this release of SOAPwareXchange, it will now allow other messages to process even if one or multiple errors are thrown and/or issues with the messages exist. Xchange will no longer display the errors related to message format issues as a separate window.  Instead, the error message will be combined with the original message (CSV file) as an error log file located in C:\ProgramData\SOAPwareXchange\Error (Default install location) If the install location is different than default, then the error logs would be stored in the Error sub-directory that is created.

Modifications to Automatic Update Process

SOAPware has modified the automatic update process to prevent users from encountering database update failures that prevent them from logging in to SOAPware.  The database updates will now be run prior to the software update as a preventative measure.  If any problems occur during the database updates, the SOAPware version will be rolled back to the previous version so the user can log in and continue working.  If database updates fail, the user will need to contact SOAPware Support for assistance with the installation process.

In addition, the SOAPware Automatic Update utility will now update all SOAPware programs on the machine.  Auto Updater will now update: SOAPware, SOAPwareXchange, and SOAPwareXchangeHL7 if installed on the workstation the update is being applied to.
