Changes Related to Immunization & Syndromic Surveillance Submissions
The features listed below have been added to meet the Meaningful Use ONC 2014 Edition Test Scripts for 170.314(f)(1) Immunization information & 170.314(f)(2) Transmission to immunization registries.
Maiden Name
The user now has the ability to add the patient's maiden name within the Demographics chart section.
Next of Kin
The user can now indicate a patient's next of kin by using the Related To section within Demographics.
New Sub-Items
Several new sub-items have been added to Immunization Entry items. These sub-items include:
- Date VIS Given
- Date VIS Published
- Vaccinator
- Status
- Route
- Updated Site sub-item
- Modifiers
Health Information Exchange Section in Demographics
A new section of Demographics called "Health Information Exchange" has been added. This section contains four items that are required to be completed when submitting immunization information.
Registry Manager
In preparation for the Meaningful Use requirement for "Transmission to immunization registries", a new Registry Manager has been added to SOAPware that is accessible under Tools > Manage Registries.
Immunization Export - Registry Selection
When exporting an immunization file, SOAPware will prompt the user to select the correct registry and facility for the immunization submission.
Syndromic Surveillance Export - Registry Selection
When exporting a syndromic surveillance file, SOAPware will prompt the user to select the correct registry, facility and patient class for the submission.
